A planter box is a large or standing pot for plants. These boxes are also used as home decorations containing either live or artificial plants. Also, planter boxes come in various sizes and can be used either indoor or outdoor. It varies from the raw material used to the color and design.

For indoors, the more creative it looks the better since it will be adding up to the beauty of your home. One of the most common use for a this is for flowers, boxes attached on the windows with flower bed on them. The size, shape and color of the box give its uniqueness a more attractive approach. To name a few, some of the common materials used for creating the box are wood, plastic, composite materials, vinyl, metal and iron, fiber glass, and resin.

It has always been elegant to choose wood over all the other materials as it is the most basic material we can use to create the box. Wooden boxes are usually for interior design thus having it inside the house give the ambiance of serenity. It would be convenient to have vinyl, plastic or metal planters. This provides a more preserved environment for your plants. It keeps your plant away from insects and pests that may be common to wood.

There are several locations around the house where we can place planter boxes. Usually found in the Green or sunroom, the box is filled with flowers and other plants. Matching the color and shade of the box can add beauty to your home. Placing the box on windows adds accent to your home while huge boxes in the living room used as dividers or decoration can be very enticing especially if you have green leafy plant on them. Outdoor decorations include placing them on patios, balconies, and windows. It comes in different shape and size which depends on the need.

Planters offer the ease of moving your plants around and categorizing them. You can make a miniature garden inside your house or have the tranquility of a small tree on your sun room. It also provides placing your plants on a spot that will not be possible for a permanent planting bed. Planter boxes are easy to build and very handy to have around. For those fond of decoration in and out of their house and loves plants, this is an additional decorative option.
