Container Gardens Overhead

Most of the time, our garden would look over crowded if not properly arranged by some designers or landscapers. That is because pots and planters are everywhere as well as the garden beds where we usually just place them in a parallel line. Having your own garden is not just an easy task or thing to do. The owner must really make an effort to make sure that the space you have are maximized but also making sure that the space are use efficiently. Plant containers and raised bed gardening could be a great alternative to the row garden that we normally have. Another thing are hanging baskets, they are consider to be container gardens that are suspended overhead.

Planting on hanging baskets does not have any difference than planting on containers that are on the ground. They are great for giving the illusion of bringing down the height of very tall spaces and making great visual impact. The same also goes with business or commercial spaces, hanging baskets can add elegance and style to the outside of your building. Apart form being aesthetically pleasing, a hanging basket also has several advantages over the traditional ground level plantations. Considering the portability of a hanging basket, you can easily move it form one location to another if your decide to change the way your garden or exterior looks and weeds are not much of an issue at all.

Hanging baskets can be very heavy sometimes depending on the material used on them. So, whatever you are hanging them from, you must be sure that the structure can support them very well. Also do not forget to consider the amount of sun, shade, and rain water they are likely to get if you place them outside, especially with the kind of plant that you will be using on your hanging basket. The plants and flowers within your hanging basket will dictate their optimum position in your garden or exterior.
